1. how did you meet your lurve?
I got laid off from my software job, and decided to take some time to myself and not do anything I didn't want to do, for awhile. So I got a part time job at a comic book store in Toronto, because I'd always dreamed of working at a comic book store, cuz I'm a geek like that.
On October 22, 2001, I was working my second shift ever, and the boss-man left me to run the store while he went home. I sold two original star wars figurines (yoda and darth vader) for what I THOUGHT the price was ($1.00 each, I know, I know) as opposed to what they were marked as ($100 each).
Andrew came in to take his shift after mine, and when I discovered my mistake, he not only calmed me down and told me not to worry, it wasn't a big deal, but he ALSO took the blame when the owner called.
I knew I wanted to know him better right. then.
1 1/2 months later he was living with me, but that's not the story you asked for. :D
2. what do you see yourself doing in five years?
In 5 years Andrew will just be finishing school and we'll be preparing to transition. He'll be looking for work. And I will shortly be making a decision about a) going to school or b) continuing to work for a year to increase savings, so we can start up the cafe early or find a house or just so we can have a better cushion to fall back on. My credit card and school and personal debt will be erased, and we'll have some modest savings. We'll still be living in B.C., in the apartment we're in now, but we'll be looking towards moving into a house within the year.
3. name one thing you would change about your life, and why?
I assume you mean my life now? In which case I would prefer to have no debt and modest savings, pretty please. That would take a lot of worry out of my life, and free me up to work at whatever jobs I wanted regardless of wage, along with bringing me a lot closer to the things I mentioned in the question above.
4. your dream form of transportation?
Self propelled flight. Like superman. As fast as I want, as slow as I want, as high or low as I want. I wanna fly! I always fly in my dreams.
5. you're in front of a blank canvas, with a plethora of paints, pencils, markers, brushes and tools. what do you do with it?
Finger paint! Definitely finger paint to start. Then I'd let the paints dry and see what came out of the finger painting, and build on that with some fine brushwork. That's what happened with my default user icon.
