Andrew asks the best questions ever...
Jan. 22nd, 2004 11:15 amOoooh good questions from Andrew:
1. If you could be any superhero, who would you be and why?
Why, I'd be Bluegirl, of course! With the power of flight, either through really pretty wings, or like Supergirl, either way. Bluegirl has blue skin, sort of shiny, with different colours in it, like a peacock. Her hair is short and spiky and royal blue, and her eyes change colour with her moods (at least nature got THAT one right :P). She's invulnerable, and has mind powers like the Invisible Girl (Susan Storm from the Fantastic Four, yes, I am a geek, shut up!), so that she can expand that invulnerability to others if necessary, along with turn invisible, lift things, etc. She's able to do magic like Stephen Strange, and she can teleport like Nightcrawler. And she can read minds.
Why? Because she'd be able to do anything, then. I could save the world...
Yeah, baby. Bring it ON! (You didn't expect me to choose an already made up one, did you?)
2. If you could solve one world problem, which one would it be and why?
The problem of too little compassion and understanding for others. I think. I'm pretty sure that if we all had more compassion and understanding, a LOT of things wouldn't happen any more. Like, people wouldn't cut other people off during rush hour, BUT also, people would let other people in. Or, we wouldn't eat nearly as much meat, and fewer people would starve. There'd be less hoarding, and more giving. Less war, definitely. Less terrorism, less yelling, more discussion, more reaching out.
3. You can invent one thing, no matter how unlikely. What do you make?
Gee, I dunno. A second world to live on, maybe. Immortality, though it would have to be a closely guarded secret, or it would have to come with sterility. Or a sterility that can be easily reversed, without affecting hormones or emotions or anything. Sort of a sterility at birth, continuing until you pass child rearing tests, that kind of thing. That's a tough one.
Or maybe I invent teleportation... people are already working on that one, though.
4. Who would you say has influenced your life most in a positive way? How about in a negative?
Um. If I answer this I'm going to sound really corny and stupid. But:
Negative - it's a cross between my mother and asslax. I'd rather not expand on that, except to say that she set the stage and he pounded it home - both acting when I was fragile to make me more so.
Positive - that would have to be you, bhunny. I can't think of anyone else. Sure, other people have taught me good things, everyone in my life has. But no-one has given me the kind of confidence and strength of character and love and wonder that you have. With you, my self esteem is high, I know I'm lovable no matter what, my little child can come out to play, or not... I'm safe and I can take on the world and I can try all those new things I've wanted to try. It's you.
5. What is your favourite taste?
Caramel, I think. Well, sweet, to be precise. But caramel, like Phish Food frozen yogurt (which is NOT in CANADA AAAAGGH) or chocolate caramels.
Unless we're talking non-sugar. Then it's probably Berry Fruit. Like raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries. Not quite in that order.
