running to stand still
Feb. 2nd, 2004 10:36 pmSome days it feels like there just aren't enough hours in the day to do everything without cutting back on sleep.
At least I got my workout done. Considering I was super tired when I got home tonight, and felt crappy and out of it even after the nap I had, I'm really proud of myself for working out.
Andrew was sick last night. Vomit sick. He has this way of getting sick where he feels horrible for 6 hours, vomits a bunch, then gets better. Other people get the 24 hour flu, he gets the 12 hour flu. At any rate, he's feeling better. AND he has a job interview tomorrow. I'm so proud of him! His friend has worked for these guys for a while now, so we have high hopes for how they treat their employees.
I did my U.S. taxes on the weekend. It was highly ick. And I owe $88 to New Mexico, and $551 to George W. At least the Canadian dollar has rallied.
Hopefully this means I'll owe less to the Canadian government. Well, I can dream. As soon as I get my interest receipt from the student loans people, I'll do them and find out.
Today I happened to mention to the chiropractor that we've entered in the sunrun, and we went and walked 10k on Saturday to see how far it is, so we can start training to run it.
I got (irrationally) offended when he told me walking will be good for my body and will help tone my muscles and help me keep my adjustments longer. I felt it necessary to tell him I work out almost every night, and that I work out hard. I mean, he was treating me like a couch potato who doesn't do anything to take care of herself! It made me wonder if he was assuming things because of my weight.
yuck. bad thoughts.
We reserved a picnic area in Stanley Park for the ceremony and reception. It's only $72, and we got it for Sunday July 18th. At least it's still the same weekend we'd hoped for. It's a covered area, in case it rains, although of course we hope for a bright sunny day. Luckily, if we don't want it, we just don't have to pay, and they'll give it to someone else. We're going to check it out this Saturday.
