not much, but beautiful
Feb. 4th, 2004 02:21 pmI just don't feel like I have much to say lately.
Last night was nice. Andrew made Vegan Eggs Florentine, and I must say, it was GOOD. I mean, lick the plate good.
I tried to catch up on some phone calls, but no-one was home. So instead we got out the sewing machine, and I brushed up on bobbin-winding and needle-threading, and played with stitches for a while to feel comfortable with my brand new machine.
Afterwards, Andrew took the scrap of fabric I'd been practicing on, christened it his drumstick holder, tied it around his waist and strutted proudly around the room with it.
He is TOO cute.
Our kids are going to be adorable.
Anyway, that was good, and then I did my 60 minutes cardio. I tried some interval training, to see if I could get my heartrate up any higher. I felt it in my heart rate some, but I really felt it in my legs. I decided that's a Good Thing (TM)
The rest of the evening was relaxing... Andrew downloaded music, and I made soy hot chocolate and we read and danced around (well, he DID download Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give you up").
It was, on reflection, a wonderful, wonderful evening.
It's funny. Sometimes I feel like there isn't enough time in the day, other times the evenings stretch on. Last evening stretched. Oh happy day!
Today I've been extremely productive at work. And that's good and everything, but now I'm kinda bored, and looking forward to leaving!
Tonight we're going over to Andrew's friend's place for dinner. They're going to "Attempt to make something veggie for us" (their words). I guess we'll see...

Date: 2004-02-04 05:20 pm (UTC)I pondered and pondered, and I gave up... What do you use in place of the eggs?
Re:

The "hollandaise" has nutritional yeast, and dijon mustard, and other stuff I can't recall at the moment.
I just lent that cookbook out tonight, or I'd post the recipe!

Date: 2004-12-30 03:08 am (UTC)I'm so sorry to see you go, I had no idea things were this bad. I've enjoyed reading about your life, and the kidlets, and I really do hope things go well in your life.
If you ever create another lj/diary/anything, please consider letting me know.

Date: 2004-12-30 06:45 am (UTC)I have created such an entity; however, I only included people who have no connections at all with the Ottawa crowds that the people responsible for PF's untimely conflagration move in. Since you are D's friend, I'm afraid it's the end of the line for now. Not that I don't trust any of you, but things really are *that* bad and it has become a matter of survival for me and my kids. So sorry. When things get under control, I will be starting a new LJ and promise to add you then.

(I also hope things calm down quickly, so I can have you back on my list! ;)
