Well. The scale said I lost a pound, which would be 2 lbs lost in the last 2 weeks, which will be quite good if it stays. Hooray for breaking plateaus!

It also puts me at "10 lbs until goal" (even *if* I'm thinking of creating a new goal after that to 10 lbs less than that original goal, reaching my first goal will still be awesome)

When I made this goal, I didn't ever think I'd make it. And I still haven't, but I'm on a downward trend, that's for sure. And I'm so damn healthy!

Tonight is 30 min cardio and the leg workout, and tomorrow is just 60 min cardio (I'm experimenting with interval cardio during the long cardio sessions, which is keeping me busy. It's kind of too bad tonight isn't a big cardio night, since there's Survivor to watch (at least until Rupert goes - although of course I want him to win), and CSI, and a program from last night that we taped that I'm embarrased to admit that we've been watching. (coughcoughamericanidolcoughcough).

I rationalize my show choices in this manner: We have only 6 channels, I only watch when working out or stretching, I can't watch movies EVERY day, and what with the state of programming these days...

Heh heh.

Whatever the reason, I watch, I enjoy, sometimes I use them as a foil to critique society, and sometimes I just get a crush on someone and use that to keep my brain busy while I'm working out. It works.

And CSI is just really damn cool. Grisham rocks.

Anyway.

Last night was fun. We went over to friends of Andrew's, who I will eventually call "our friends", I'm sure. They made pad thai and an apple/cinnamon diabetic custardy thing (they made it from a diabetic cookbook because then it has 'just a little' sugar in it, and they were trying to feed me stuff I can eat - I mean, 'just a little' is still some, but it was SOOOO SWEET OF THEM to try to do that for me!) And it was very tasty. I got the recipe for the dessert, and I'm going to play around with it, with honey vs sugar, and a couple of other ideas I have. I think it could make a very good warm breakfast, like bread pudding, only with apples, and with soy milk. I'll get back to you on that. :D

So we talked and laughed and whatnot, and I got to look through their picture albums (they are MUCH better at taking pictures than I am), and that was really fun. I had a REALLY good time. We're all going to go check out a dance club next Thursday, that APPARENTLY plays 80's/Brit Pop/Alternative. We're all a little leery, but I really wanna go dancing, and start finding fun places to go, so...

Oh dear.

I just realized one of the girls said "oh, I'll dance in a GROUP, but I don't dance by myself"

damn damn damn damn!

(or as Andrew's grandma used to say: damndamn!)

She's going to want to dance in a group!

Like - high school dancing!!!! you know, in a little circle! AAAAAAACCCKKK!!!

Eep.

I don't dance with people, people throw me off!

No, that's not true. Just mostly.

Eep.

Well, we'll see. And at least they're really really really really nice people. The amazing niceness of these people is just so refreshing.

Andrew's mom is really excited about our ceremony and reception. I don't know why I didn't realized it until last night, when we got yet another long email about planning details (this time, decorations that she almost bought because they were on sale, but then stopped herself because she thought we might have an opinion, plus other type of decorating things, and etc etc etc etc etc etc).

She's really excited!

And that's great.

It's just that her daily long emails giving ideas and demanding details and explanations and answers are kind of overwhelming. I mean, we have 5 1/2 months, we REALLY do not need to buy decorations tomorrow. Yeah, so they take a lot out of me. But at least I know WHY.

And it's nice that she's excited. Maybe she doesn't think I suck.

Yay! for new friends! Yay! for losing weight! Yay! for American Idol! Okay, I'm kidding about the last one. Hehehehe. I have to admit I've watched it a few times and it is pretty amusing. :)

Boy you're finding all the cool people on my friends list, aren't you.. first thinktink, then kristan_m, now I see my little sinndar.. you're definitely picking the good ones!

As for the show, I about died laughing. I secretly watch all those shows, too. It's so funny. Thanks for reminding me, I need to tape survivor tonight!

I TOTALLY know what you mean about dancing with other people. I'm a total solo dancer. Can't stand anyone else around! In a group? haha.

YAY for Andrew's mom being excited about the ceremony. That DOES me she likes you, she likes you a lot.

Congrats on the 2 lbs. I'm excited about you hitting goal!

Only 10 more lbs to get to the goal I set last January! Doesn't that sound so doable? And then I'll be at goal. 160. Whodathunkit?

And then I'll probably give myself a new goal of 150, and then I'll spend a year making sure I know how to maintain... and then maybe I won't have to think about it so much, and I can trust myself to do what's right.

Part of the reason I hate dancing in a group is because the group looks at everyone they're dancing with, you know? And they expect you to look back and be engaged with them and stuff. And that totally throws me off because I'm trying to get lost in the music.

The OTHER reason is because so many people have such BAD RHYTHM. I mean, REALLY. So bad that if I look, it'll throw me off. Like stumbling because you see someone fall. Sheesh.
