I only worked a half day...
Feb. 10th, 2004 05:37 pmI only worked a 4 hour day today, but by their metrics, did over two days worth of work in that time.
My neck is extremely stiff, and I'm still not feeling so hot. I had a nap, actually, and now my neck is better. I'm going to take a second day off working out (GASP, HORRORS), and hope that I'll be up to par tomorrow.
I got my student loan interest paper thingie today, so now I can do my Canadian taxes. I'll probably do them on the weekend.
I'd been concerned about money, but I realized that by going full time, I have managed to get an extra pay this month. You see, budget-wise, I had been billing the company from the 1-15 and 15-end of the month, but hadn't been receiving my cheques from them until the 3rd and 18th (approximately). So I'd said that the cheques received on the 3rd and 18th of a specific month were the income put to the budget of the NEXT month.
But now I get paid by direct deposit, on the 15th and last day of the month (or whatever business day before that, if those days aren't business days). Which means that the cheque I got on the 3rd, PLUS the direct deposit on the 13th this month, and the direct deposit on the 27th, go towards next months bills.
Which means I don't have to worry about where the money to pay my Canadian taxes will come from, after all! I'm very relieved.
