Oh it was hard getting myself into the workout room yesterday!!
But I did it. Knowing that I couldn't watch Survivor or CSI without working out really helped. Also knowing I've got internet girls checking on my progress is good too. :D
30 min cardio, and an upper body workout. I upped the weight for every exercise except shoulder press. Oooooh I hate shoulder press. I do it, but damn, I improve so damn slowly on it. *sigh* It's a struggle.
But, everything else was good. It was a good workout, once all was said and done.
As far as eating goes, I only had 1400 calories. This means I have a total of 1700 calories I can eat tomorrow, so I should have no problems at this russian restaurant for dinner. As long as I can find things without simple carbs (I've decided potatos are ok, although of course white flour is still not).
Just 23 days left after today!
I'm in a much better mood today. I'm sorry I was such a morose fool yesterday. It happens.
I'm out of here in just under 4 1/2 hours. We're going to IKEA. Fun at IKEA!
And then the weekend. The rich, enticing, lovely weekend.

Biceps. I hate working biceps.
hehe..

Date: 2004-02-20 12:57 pm (UTC)Actually, I think the only thing I was dreading about the workout was the shoulder press. Seriously! I was looking forward to the cardio, the pull downs, the bicep curls...
Speaking of which, I love bicep curls. :P And tricep extensions.
I love toned arms SO much. I know shoulders are a part of that... *sigh*
the problem is that when I was 18 I separated my left shoulder. Since then, it's just never been as strong! Oh yeah, and I'm a wuss. :P

Date: 2004-02-20 12:42 pm (UTC)And good for you!! I know it's hard, but I just say to myself "JUST DO IT" and by the time I'm done you know it wasn't so bad. It helps that you guys are doing it too. :)

Date: 2004-02-20 12:59 pm (UTC)One thing I do, whether it be for working out, working, or any other tasks, is if I feel daunted, or like I don't want to do it, I find ways to just start. So I attack a work issue from a different angle, or by writing lists of questions I need answers to, and I always start a workout with cardio - that way, I KNOW I can do the cardio, and by the time I'm done, I'm in workout mode, and I don't even have to tell myself to do the lifting, it's just a natural progression.
I find that I've become a lot more productive and proud of myself in everything I do, as a result. :D
