I'm a runner!
Mar. 3rd, 2004 07:05 pmIt is amazing how much I was looking forward to the run we just went on. I was looking forward to it for 2 days.
I know I'm really into it, because it rained all day, including while we were on the run. We braved rush hour, lacrosse teams, small soccer players, and a hell of a lot of water coming from the sky.
48 minutes. We were going for 54, but it got too dark.
Dude. This rocks.

Date: 2004-03-04 09:29 am (UTC)What I find really useful is interval running - run for 4 minutes, walk for 2, and repeat, for example. I still don't run the whole way, but I FEEL like a runner. And since I'm always improving, soon enough I really WILL be a runner that can run the whole way!
We're training for a 10K run we're going to be a part of on April 18th, but I've wanted to get back into it anyway.

Date: 2004-03-04 12:04 pm (UTC)Mine are messed up because I have fallen arches, and cuz I got so fat. But I have orthotics, and I've found I can still do most things (in that the only thing that seems to hurt is kneeling on the floor), especially now that I have lost weight, although sometimes my right knee hurts a little, but not so much that I need to stop anything I'm doing, although I always pay attention to the pain in case I DO need to stop.
