I have been extraordinarily cranky today. About 5 hours in, Andrew said he could tell about 2 minutes after we woke up, that it was going to be one of THOSE days.

Oh dear.

Even so, we've been productive. We cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed everywhere (pretty difficult and time consuming when all you have is a glorified dust buster on a stick), went for a run, I hemmed my running pants, fixed a shirt, washed and dried the material for his jacket, cut out his pattern (but haven't pinned it to the fabric yet), had a nap, made dinner (spinach crepes), and picked up a couple of things at Safeway.

I believe I'm going to take the rest of the night off.

Tomorrow we go to see Noam Chompsky. Hopefully, I'll be in a better mood.

i saw noam here in toronto a few years back. i really, really wanted to love it...but it was so boring i had to keep pinching myself to stay awake. he had the monotone drone of one of my university profs and i think it hit a nerve...

what is he speaking about? my husband did a course with him through z mag a few years back and said he was incredible. have fun!!

Thanks, it was good! I can definitely see the boring professor drone thing, although he was so interesting, that I was ok with it (which is a surprise, the professorial drone has a tendency to put me to sleep too!). He was talking about Isreal/Palestine, and it wasn't the subject that caught me so much as the things he said around it - almost throw away comments that showed so much more about what he stands for - plus the question and answer session was the best. And Andrew was a very happy man, so all in all, I had a great time!

I hope you're not expecting chompsky to put you in a better mood :)

Heh heh, no, definitely not! I figured that since the rate that our society is sliding into dystopia lately is so pronounced, anything he was going to talk about was just going to depress me. But actually, he made me feel better over all, because with him fighting... it doesn't feel so bad. Does that make sense? I really respect his intelligence and his stubbornness.
