brightbluegirlLast night was good, although I didn't get any work done. Well, work work.
I did, however, make the ginger-mango marinade for tonight's dinner (now postponed to tomorrow's dinner), which actually took a long time, and I also made a nice Nepalese Dahl for lunches for the rest of the week.
I spoke to my brother briefly on the phone. His throat was sore from yelling, but he didn't want to talk about it. Translation - he and his girl are fighting again. It makes me sad. I don't think my brother is ever going to really learn how to move past that. Then again, I guess lots of people don't.
And I did my hour of cardio, while watching American Idol, which totally sucked. My four favourites are George, Fantasia, Jennifer Hudson, and Latoya (is that her name). Oh, the sweet hawaiian who wears the flower is wonderful too. Everyone else can go away.
Anyway.
And I caught up on some emails - an outstanding email to Andrew's mother about ceremony type stuff, some emails to a friend about whether or not their still invited to the ceremony and reception (which of course they are), and such.
And that was my night. The cooking took a lot of time. It's good that I LIKE to cook, eh?
The ginger/mango marinade called for a cup of white wine. I used the opened wine in the fridge, and didn't realize until afterwards that that wine had been in there since October. OOps. More like white wine vinegar, now! I really should throw that out. Can you tell we don't drink much?
But since I was cooking off the alcohol anyway, it still turned out good. I can't wait to eat this.
Instead, though, tonight we're going to the library, and to Panago because we have a $10 off coupon that expires today. So we're going to use it while we still can.
With luck, tonight I will cut and mark the jacket pieces. Sewing will commence this weekend.
