I woke up feeling ill and tired this morning. Sick to my stomach, sniffly, coughy... glorious.

I'm feeling better as the day goes on, but not fantastic. I think I'm dehydrated. I'll see how I feel in a couple of hours, after a couple more bottles of water.

Gah.

Of course, waking up at 3:30 and not getting back to sleep until after 7 probably had something to do with it.

Oh yes, and the complete CRAP we ate all weekend. Meal plan = OUT THE WINDOW. No, I don't think I need to eat more than a half loaf of bread. No, I don't think I need to eat 1/2 pan of rhubarb squares. Geez. I mean, I ate more sugar, fat, and simple carbs than I usually do in a week.

A couple of days of good eating and heavy water drinking (no, not drinking heavy water, heavy DRINKING of water), and some good hard cardio, and I'll be fine. Unless I'm actually sick. But we'll just ignore that option for now, shall we?

Actually, we were both feeling slightly off all weekend. After Andrew worked on Saturday (just 4 hours, nothing rough - I baked 2 loaves of french bread - yes, the bread we mostly ate this weekend), we went out and got me a strapless bra and some cute white platform flipflops for the whatzit. We got home around 6, lay down on the bed, and passed out for 3 hours. Whatthehell?

Anyway, that night we went to bed around 1, and still slept in until almost 10 on Sunday.

Feeling sluggish, we decided to go for a run, but neither one of us actually wanted to go - our bodies were crazy rebelling. We went out, and ended up mostly walking. It was very pleasant, though. A gorgeous day, we wandered around our neighbourhood and looked at gardens and smelled flowers, just walked and talked. It was good.

We were out for about an hour. Came home, talked to our respective mothers, (I'd sent my mother The Garden Of Vegan cookbook, marked with all the recipes we've tried and loved, and she was THRILLED. She's excited to try new recipes. She's very allergic to eggs.)

And then we had another NAP. Geez.

Anyway, we had the best, most decadent dinner ever, and lounged around with tea.

Then we went out to play with the neighbourhood kids for an hour. Too much fun! We ran around and acted like fools, it was good times. Too many people forget how to play...

Yeah, so that was good.

I went to bed unhappy, though, for no good reason, and then came the not so good sleep (but I was tired, very much so!), and now the not so happy morning. At least I'm feeling better than I was a couple of hours ago. With luck, it'll just keep going up from here!
