I just spent an hour playing outside with some of the neighbourhood children. The girl who lives next door to is fucking annoying. To get her way, she whines, YELLS, SCREAMS, talks over whoever else is talking, lies, bullies people into doing what she wants, and constantly wants to be the center of attention.
I feel sorry for her. She's obviously not getting what she needs.
However, I will not be bullied by a 10 year old girl. Tonight I had to tell her not only to stop yelling in my ear, but that I don't like whiny people, and it's hard to have fun with people when they whine all the time. She DID stop whining, but she ended up bullying more.
I don't like being the cop.
However, there are other little girls and some really cute toddlers that I like playing with. And my theory is that if I keep playing with her, maybe she'll calm down. It really is easier to have fun when you're not constantly concentrating on being the center of attention.
Before I went out to play, the girls stood at the kitchen window and talked to me for over an hour while I made zucchini bread and chili. They occasionally saw the Bear-cat as he walked by, and were very happy about that.
I had girls knock on my door 3 times today to ask if I could come out to play. I love it. :)
I tried to fast again today. It didn't work. I broke down around 3 and had a tomato sandwich.
I don't know why, but even though I included fruit (a red grapefruit, and some strawberries), my body rebelled like crazy. I was shaky for most of the day, and had headaches and unpleasantness.
So, like I said, I stopped fasting. Perhaps another time.
The top part of my outfit for the ceremony is done!! I went over to my work friend's apartment, and we worked from 10:30am to 8pm on it. The skirt is almost done too, and will take about an hour to finish - probably mostly hemming.
The top is GORGEOUS. Absolutely STUNNING. It looks SO good on me, I can't believe it! I love it.
The biggest problem, of course, is that it tends to fall down just a touch, a teeny bit, just enough for the top part of my (bright white, of course) bra to show. I'm going to have to get some double sided tape, or some little safety pins or something (I can pin the bra to the lining, and no one will be the wiser...), for the actual day.
I got home at 10:08... to a message from Andrew. He had called at 10:04. Damn. I tried to call back (he said I could), but no-one picked up. He said he'd call at 9 my time, tonight. I'm looking forward to talking to him.
He probably won't whine, lie, yell in my ear, or try to bully me.
