starts sweet and ends lewd

brightbluegirlI had a delightful, brisk walk in the crisp air this morning. That hour to work is so uplifting.
Yesterday was a *good* day.
So hanging out at the dragon - I met this guy Matt. He wants to be a producer, he said. Which was obvious by his beret, leather pants, suit jacket, and little red square glasses he "picked up in Venice beach".
Yeah, OK.
He insists he's had coffee with Brad Pitt and lunch with Susan Sarandon. I think if I'd mentioned Winston Churchill he would have said "oh yeah, I had a couple of drinks with him once".
Whatever.
I could handle that, because he was sort of like tv - turn him on and he'll talk about something that will stimulate conversation, but... he's 33 and everytime a subject even remotely related came up, he talked about his cholesterol, his weight, his salt intake, how bad carbs are for you, the over-confidence of youth, and etc.
How closed-minded!
And we couldn't talk about serious things, because he didn't like that. He got visibly and vocally upset when we talked about things that weren't absurd.
Absurdity is very useful - when you've got something to back it up.
Anyway, it was lots of fun. Andrew kept coming over and sneaking kisses. Apparently the work night was kind of rough. I was glad to be a ray of light for him.
He's been working a lot of extra hours lately. That's really great, because we can always use the money, but I miss him.
I haven't even been overproductive to make up for him not being here.
He's not working today, and not working until tomorrow night. So we'll get to spend tonight and tomorrow day together. I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!
Speaking of excited, I was turned on ALL DAY yesterday. I look forward to time spent with my man. *leer*

- I got feedback from our system administrators:
Freakykitten was a good hire (manager name). We've all talked about it on this side and want you to know we think she is doing an excellent job, especially since she is newer than anyone else. I never get grief about opening tickets or sluffing work off from her. I suspect you'd get the same feeling from (sys-admin2) and (sys-admin3). - Someone asked me if I was losing weight, because she noticed. (grin)
- Andrew made a WONDERFUL Christmas wreath, with grape vine and gold stars and juniper.
- My manager came in and dumped 10 urban fantasy books on my desk, cuz I'd asked him for some. I read one last night, that was set in TORONTO, right where I used to live!!!
- I didn't paint, but I did go to Blue Dragon with the 16 year old who works at the company with me. She's our office bitch, sorta. Anyway, we hung out and talked and had a great time
