Couch Cover, as promised...

Ok, well, I've overdone it, it seems, and have been feeling ill since the afternoon. I was only able to do 3 hours of work, and I didn't touch the pillows I want to make, or do much of anything else except eat, nap, talk on the phone, make a meal plan for next week and order the groceries, and make some food for my lunch for tomorrow.

Hmmm.

That still sounds like a lot.

Anyway.

I'm making rice pudding for breakfasts and snacks, and that's all I'm doing tonight, I SWEAR.

But I did promise some pictures of the couch in it's brand spanking new couch cover... so here they are.

I must tell you - it's a simple design, very simple. It took so long because I needed to find the time to spend on it, and there are quite a few button-holes on it (20), for example.

Anyway, I love it! I've got 4 pillow forms to make cases for - 2 small, two big. I'd hoped to make them before Andrew gets back, but I'm not promising anything. Especially since I feel crappy tonight, AND I find out about my granma tomorrow.

It looks SO good!! I'm very impressed. It might seem simple, but I know that working with such a large piece is difficult and time consuming. What color are you going to make the pillows? They shouldn't take much time at all to make, pillows are so satisfying because they're easy :)

I have a bunch of extra material that the ties are made of. I'm thinking a couple of pillows will have that on them. I need to root through my scrap material, too, to see what other colours I'll end up making... a purple or magenta or something else bright would be good.

it looks great! you are very talented! i love blue couches (i own one myself). :) i also must say i love the colours on your walls! so funky and bright. i'm dying to repaint our place in lots of bright colours like that.

I can't get enough of the colour blue. Well, Royal Blue, like that.

When we moved in here we made a commitment to stay for at least 5 years - I can't remember the last time I stayed somewhere for longer than a year. So we took the time and painted the walls, and I'm so happy with it! I love bright colours, and I love being surrounded by them. I hope you get a chance to do it too!
