My teef have been fixeded!
I had to go to the dentist to get two minor cavities filled, yesterday afternoon. I'd booked an hour, but it only took 30 minutes, which is excellent. A very nice guy, this young dentist man, and seemed to be good at his job, too.
Has mentioned my tongue piercing BOTH times I've seen him, however. Hmpf.
Anyway, he froze my mouth on the right side, just in case. And he froze it WAY too much. He said it would wear off in about 2 to 3 hours... this was at 5pm.
At 10:30, it had finally worn off.
My mouth was so frozen that my swallowing mechanism was fucked. I was super thirsty, but when I tried to drink some water, it went down the wrong way, and I had a coughing jag so violent that my stomach hurts today.
At least Chocolate So Good Ice Cream was on sale at Safeway. That made things a bit easier. Heh. Yes, EASIER.
Ok, no. But tastier.
For dinner Andrew made a tofu alfredo sauce. REALLY good. I've tried some in the past, but they were always too wet. This was really great and creamy.
Unfortunately, my mouth was so frozen and difficult, I had to eat soooo slowly. I ended up feeling frustrated and hungry.
My bhunny is sick. We don't have time for him to be sick now, but he is, it's horrible. He was up late coughing. I found some cough syrup for him, and he drank some, and I petted him for awhile, and then he slept. I can only hope this will be short, and not dehabilitating. He's working today, he gets Mon and Tues off, and then he has a 9 day working streak, and then of course the Whatzit and everything that's involved with that.
So yeah.
Poor bhunny. Send him healing energy, k?

Date: 2004-06-27 04:31 pm (UTC)Anyway, yes, everything is still on. Andrew asked Adam to be his witness at the legal ceremony on the 17th at noon, did he remember that? We're driving over to the Commissioner's house, so if he could be at our place for... um... maybe 10:30am that morning, that would be good.
The 17th in the evening, starting at 7, is the party, with a small spiritual ceremony. Friends and their friends are invited. My brother will be there, but no other family. It's at our place.
The 18th is the big shawoozle. Ceremony at 1:30, reception following right afterwards. So if you show up around 1 or whatever, I'm sure that'd be fine. That's in Stanley Park - we can give you directions to the specific spot earlier that weekend.
Tell me more about the sg burlesque thing! Maybe we can go??

Date: 2004-06-28 12:28 pm (UTC)i'm just trying to work out if i'll be able to come... i didn't realize that the 14th was a wednesday, so i'll be missing almost an entire week of work. it might be tricky. i'll be talking to my boss tonight, though, so i'll get back to you as soon as we have the computer back at home.
the burlesque show is on the 14th at mesa luna. doors at 9. there'll be an opening band and then a bunch of dancing ladies. i'll be working as a tipgirl. no nudity, just lots of fun! you might want to call ahead for tickets. i don't know if it'll sell out, but some people are concerned that it might.
