I do NOT want to be at work today. I would much rather be at home, chewing off my fingers while waiting for 2 o'clock to roll around so I can pick up the jacket and dress.
Instead, I'll be working here until 4, then meeting up with a friend of a friend, to try to get a connection started, so I can have more friends. Andrew will be picking up the clothes promptly at 2pm, inspecting them thoroughly, and calling me with the results.
I've got to-do lists written for every day between today and next Saturday. And ANOTHER "to-buy" list. I am LIST GIRL.
Andrew's cousin just had a baby girl, so last night I got a phone call from a woman I have never met, inviting me to a baby shower. Ugh. I can't NOT go, because the new mother and her husband will be at our whatzit.
It's not that I don't like these people, who are all so nice, and who I was going to buy baby presents for and wrap up in our party favour cellophane, and then put at their place setting at the reception, as a surprise (and which I'm a little bummed I won't be able to do)
It's that I. Detest. Showers.
Ack. Pffftbbbt.
Sigh.
Anyway. It's on Wednesday night. So I'll be doing that, and Andrew will be doing laundry, washing everything we can possibly think of.
Somehow, I think he's getting the better deal.
Ah well. I'll do my time.
Cam has agreed to make my headpiece! I'm so excited. I want a floral headpiece, and I have beads and ribbon and all sorts of stuff, but I don't have time to make it... on Saturday he's going to work on it. He said he's even going to sketch a few things for me to choose from, first.
It'll be so nice to wear something he made for me, on that day.
I'm actually having a pretty good day. I'm feeling a lot of love.

Uh oh, I'm gonna stop there, cause I feel a feminist rant coming on (and that's really not fair, considering I just made fun of babies).
