ooooh sugar sugar...
Jul. 30th, 2004 09:42 amLast night went by so quickly... I am looking forward to this weekend. I'm hoping the weekend will not, that I can laze around, really clean the place and get caught up on laundry, and maybe even start sewing some pillowcases for the bedroom (we got new, beautful dark blue sheets from someone for the whatzit, and I'm going to make purple, blue, and burgundy pillowcases to go with it). But I don't want to do TOO much.
Relaxing is good. I have to keep reminding myself that August is for RELAXING. Only do what I want to do, says I, and do NOT, for the love of GOD(dess), MAKE ANY BIG PLANS!
Heh.
I woke up in the middle of the night with a horrific cramp in my left calf. The sort of cramp where you're in pain, it's cramped up and touching it hurts, but you just KNOW that if you don't touch it, it'll just keep going and going... so painful you think you won't be able to get through it, but somehow, somehow, you do.
I had trouble sleeping deeply after that, because it still hurt, and I was afraid it would cramp up again.
And it still hurts today. To walk on, to sit, anything.
I think it's a sign that I have neglected my workouts for long enough...
My plan is to get back into the swing of things as of Aug 1. This week we're still getting rid of the last of the pies/etc, and next week we'll be eating correctly again.
It'll be a relief to get back to beans and tofu and rice and veggies again, really. And no sugar... man, I loves my sugar, but it is SO BAD FOR ME.

Date: 2004-07-30 12:16 pm (UTC)As for potassium, we have a good multi I take.
I haven't had a leg cramp for YEARS. That's why this is so odd... I'm thinking that the big stress of the whatzit, and then my mother, and then segueing into a release at work, and not having exercised properly in months... well, yeah, that'd do it.

Date: 2004-07-30 10:20 am (UTC)I am not a sugar junkie, but I am a deep-fried junkie. It could be rat turds, but as long as it is breaded and comes with a garlic sauce, tis allllllllllllll gouda.
