triviality
Aug. 3rd, 2004 10:24 amClandestine recycling occurred again last night. As we snuck home, Andrew made a comment about recycling ninjas... and I pointed out that ninjas wouldn't wear flip-flops.
Heh.
Anyway.
The weekend was good, if a bit frustrating on Sunday. However, now Andrew has many new wife-beaters, and even new socks. His boss is going through a manic period, and gave him a $20 tip on Sunday, and we used that to rent Bubbahotep and get change for laundry, and he'll be doing laundry today (in the rain, what fun!).
We also wrote out the thank you cards, and put together a few packages that we're sending out. I'm glad to finally get that done!
It looks like I'll be going to Kelowna on the 13th to spend the weekend at his parent's place... by MYSELF. Heh. His mother is going to teach me how to can and make jam. I'm sure I could learn it on my own... but this way will be nicer. As long as his mother doesn't drive me up the wall... I really think my biggest problem with her is how loud she is, so we'll see if I can gently ask her to be quieter during the times when she gets loud...
This way, too, I'll be able to get a whole lot of things at once. I'll be taking the bus there and back, but I won't mind having extra bags or heavy bags. It'll be worth it!
