Why yes, I *did* say that if the client has a party, and it's WITHIN working hours, and I have to work overtime in order to make up the time I was not working, and you MAKE IT A MANDATORY PARTY...

My free time is my own. You do not own me, and neither does the client.

EDIT: Ok, well, at least she said she was joking, once I talked to her about it later.

I don't know your boss, but sometimes those types will float these ideas, and if nobody says anything, they become reality. If someone pounces, then suddenly it becomes "Oh, that was just a joke!"
Very funny.
Gotta keep an eye on these people.
