o brother, where art thou?
Aug. 11th, 2004 01:38 pmNot much to say today, not much, not much.
Blargh
BEEELARGH
yargh
blah.
*SIGH*
In other news, I'm a wee bit worried about my brother. In that he's trying to hike through the Rockies... alone. He left Monday morning, and I'm his contact, and he said whenever he could, he would call us collect to let us know how it's going.
Speaking of my brother, he kept going on and on about how great our hospitality was, because he got to have his own room in our apartment, one with a door that closed so he could have privacy, and because I fed him.
I do not know what is up with that boy. I mean. Duh. Of course I'm going to feed you! And give you a place to sleep! I mean... duh!
Sure, when we went to stay with him, he only had a 1 bedroom apartment, so we slept on the living room floor. So what? You make do with what you have. And they didn't have any dishes (I mean, ok, a frying pan and a spatula, a couple of plates and such, but...), so they didn't cook for us, but they DID make us very nice sandwiches one day for lunch!
I dunno. I don't see the difference. You make do with what you have. And he's freaking FAMILY for dogs sake. Of course, on his last day with us, I was going to make a great big dinner with cake.
Not important.
Heh. That night after dinner we went through all my old pictures, looked at old OLD pictures of us as kids, pictures of the family together, of my dad and mom when they were young and in love, pictures of things I did in school, pictures of things Andrew and I have done together... it was fun. (And I only had to quickly hide two pictures of my boobs, which I have NO IDEA HOW THEY GOT IN THERE - luckily, my pictures are all in a bag, not in picture-books, so I just looked at all the pictures before I handed them over to him, so he didn't even know they existed...)
Anyway, so I hope he's ok. I hope he's having a good time, too.
