Yesterday was soooo lovely. It felt like it lasted forever.

We had a lazy, lazy morning. It was wonderful, not the least because it felt like a fall day, cool and overcast, and I'm so ready for fall. I love fall.

I love spring and summer too... it's only winter I dislike. And really, I wouldn't dislike winter if I didn't have to go out in it, and only left home when I WANTED to.

Heh. This is why Vancouver is the perfect place for me.

Anyway, the morning was sex and nap and corn pudding and love.

He went off to work, and I had a very productive day - I did laundry, grocery shopping, and made dinner. Black Bean Burritos with a fried vegetable topping (onions, mushrooms, broccoli, red pepper and jalapeno), and a vanilla cake with sugar-free cherry filling and a fudge-y topping.

Yum.

I also made couscous salad for lunches.

Had an interesting conversation with my mother, who, all things aside, is really having a brutal year.

Andrew came home, and after dinner he worked on his Poli Sci assignment and I had a deliciously long bath and read. I took the WHOLE night off! And finished the book, too, which makes me glad. Epics can be irritating. Especially when I like the characters in them.

It feels like fall today, too, and that makes me happy. I mean, HAPPY.

Fall is like taking a deep breath. It's like wood smoke and wet pine, comfy sweaters and a crackling fire. It's like hot tea and a warm bed, and lazy days that go on forever.

I know we'll have some nice warm days again, it's still August, after all, and I also know Vancouver has a long fall, but I'm cherishing these days even so.

That sounds like winter, here.. :)

Fall is beautiful short sunny days, with leaves dropping and a slight coolness returning to the air.

Well, that sounds like a wonderful winter, then. :D

I'm still getting used to Vancouver fall days - I just remember a lot of rain from last year. It may be that I'll have to start visiting Ontario in the fall every year, just to get my "cool days with crisp nights and red leaves" quotient.

Fall is my favorite, followed by Spring.

But our Winter is really like your Fall, we don't have too much of a Winter here.

In the Fall, it is still warm during the day, and cool at night. I love that!

Daaaaaaaaaamn, you nailed it...I love Fall as well, always have. When most of my friends were pining for summer, I was always loving Fall. Always...

It's the leaves, the crisp air, the smell of wood, wood-burning in the air, scarves, cute little boots, hot cocoa and the holidays. I truly love this time of year, and I am a little unhappy that I'm not really where the air is crisp, etc. Ah well. I shall live vicariously through you.

Heh. Well, I'm still getting used to Vancouver fall. It may well not be crisp, but just damp. Heh.

why would I hate you for asking? :)

Ontario - near Niagara Falls. So winters were hard, but fall was gorgeous.

Oh wow...so you had snow every winter...! Lucky!

No way, not lucky, not at all!! :-S

I look forward to the time when snow comes so rarely that I like it. I spent too much time hating it. I mean, it's pretty, and fun to play in, but it's horrible to be cold and wet, and HAVE to go to school or work, to slip and slide around on the ice or packed snow, to have blizzards that you have to walk through, to carry groceries home in the snow, to have snowbanks so high your pants always get wet, and STAY wet, to get your feet wet from slush, and have to sit with them all day... no thankyou!!

Ahhh, well, I guess if you only had a touch of snow to deal with, every winter, like I've had (and had, growing up), that I would have to agree with you.

It so stupid, but I really enjoy cooler, crisp weather. I love the cold, and despair of the heat. Which is one of the reasons I'm not digging my scene too much, right now.

Ah well. Enjoy your early fall...:)
