Cabbage salad is good.
Our weekend was so productive. We cleaned the house. I mean CLEANED it. The bathroom, the kitchen, the fridge, the microwave, the oven, the toaster oven, the floors, the laundry, and so on...
We bought a new set of pots (woohoo!) lovely black porcelain ones with glass lids. Oh sigh. Beautiful pots. We took out the recycling. We bought kitty litter and kitty food. We got me the CUTEST pair of capri style pants with silver zippers going up the back of the legs, and on the pockets and things.
We decorated the gingerbread house. It is SO adorable.
We exchanged presents with Kurt and Nicole for solstice, and we got wonderful things, but that's not NEARLY as important as the fact that they loved their presents!!! Loved them!!!
Had I not been sitting down, I would have been jumping for joy at the expressions on their faces when they got their presents. Happy happy joy joy!
Now, the big problem in our lives - now that we ACTUALLY have some extra money worth talking about, do we buy a PS2, or a digital camera? He's leaning towards the PS2, I'm leaning towards a digital camera.
So what we REALLY need is to find 100 more dollars so we can get both. Perhaps we should *gasp* save our money and wait...
I also discovered that the excessive coldness in our bedroom is partially due to the closet. Our walk in closet is COLD! We closed the door last night (cuz of the cleaning), and the difference in the room temperature this morning when I got out of bed was marked.
Whew.
Our bedroom was cold in the end of August, I kid you not. I don't know if the cold is from hell freezing over, or there's a pack of ghosts in there, and I really don't care, the important thing is that door is staying closed from now on.
My mom gets here in a couple of hours, if all goes well. I'm excited, and a little nervous, too... I mean... "this is my home, this is my life, any criticisms???"
I almost got hit by a car today. It's mostly my fault, I tried to bike through a busy intersection on a yellow light, which turned red before I got to the other side. A guy in a car, not looking at anything but his green light, started to drive, and I had to swerve and stop to avoid him before he saw me.
I screamed like a girl.
