JOY
I am just having the BEST weekend. On Friday Andrew and I went to the PNE with
zaftigvegan, her partner and their children, and it was so. much. fun.
I even went on a RIDE.
A scary one! The pirate ship. I'm afraid of heights, I usually love roller coasters, stay far away from spinny rides (I get VERY nauseaus), and maybe do water type rides. WELL. Cute and sexy
zaftigvegan convinced me to do the pirateship...
And I kept sliding out of my seat!!! Yowza!! It was awesome, and I felt very brave.
I did get a little nauseaus, but not for long, and I was definitely fine the next day.
(Except I was dehydrated, so I felt like I was hungover, but that's besides the point)
For a while, in the beginning of the morning on Friday, I just wasn't in the best mood. I can't describe it... it's not that I wasn't having a good time (I was), but I was just sort of... hmmm. Not in my self. Beating myself up over lots of things, I guess.
It passed, though. I spent a good hour forcing myself out of the funk, but it worked.
Anyway, so yeah. PNE. We ate yummy food we'd brought, we played with the kids, it was AWESOME.
Saturday I spent ALL DAY cleaning and cooking. His family came over for dinner, and we played pictionary afterwards. It went really well! They liked dinner, and the fancy dessert I made came out well (it wasn't that flavourful though - next time I might add more cloves/cinnamon/vanilla to the pears when I poach them), and etc.
It was a good time, even if it had me busy the whole day, and wrung out at the end of it.
Today I've been a good girl - worked out, found some soymilks (finally, although I think I've just been looking in the wrong places) that are just organic soybeans and water, made blackberry jam, washed a billion loads of dishes, and cooked dinner (broccoli and tofu in a peanut butter sauce).
I think later tonight we're going to go for a walk, once Andrew has finished his assignment.
AND THE BEST THING IS:
We have ALL of tomorrow to spend together, just us. **bliss**
