Ugh

Well, this is no fun, I feel WORSE today then yesterday. Yesterday I thought I was doing better, but today I woke up around 5am and couldn't sleep for a couple of hours, and then once I got to sleep, the alarm rang, of course.

I opted to skip the workout this morning, and if I was feeling ok, work out this evening. Particularly since Andrew and I both fell asleep after the alarm, which happens... uh, NEVER. This is the very first time.

However, I'm feeling worse now than when I woke up. I really want to work out, but I don't know.

Instead of the weight workout, I might do cardio, and just try to do cardio all week until I feel better. Or something.

This nausea REALLY needs to leave me alone.

Ugh.

So, just to show you how non-hard-core I am about alcohol, heh, here is this ever so enlightening and pathetic story about last night:

So, we're stretching and watching Queer Eye - it's a rerun (I hadn't seen it, but I'm ever so clever, since it was a CHRISTMAS episode, I figured it out), and they're talking about having mulled wine at parties, since it smells good and etc etc,

And I turned to Andrew, and I said "I'd prefer the mulled cider you make, it's tastier, and it doesn't have any of that icky alcohol"

Yes, yes, I am THAT much of a weener.

I mean, I likes me my alcohol! But it has to taste good (which generally doesn't mean wine), and only on occasion. I have to be in the mood for it.

Which is strange, because I have gone through not 1, but TWO times in my life when I drank a LOT. About a year each time. I got bored both times, though. Heh.

"Is she an addict?"
"Nah, she doesn't have a concentration span long enough to be an addict"

Heh.

heh. believe me when I say I have been thinking about that a LOT this week.

things that say I'm probably ok:

1. My body isn't behaving the way it did with my last pregnancy
2. No sore boobs (but I didn't have sore boobs last time)
3. My period came and went, as usual, LAST WEEK
4. It was worst on Sunday, better yesterday, bad again today... before it just kept building
5. It's all day, before it was definitely mornings.
6. Extreme dizziness

BUT I'm still going to keep watch. If I still feel bad after a few more days, I'm going to get a test.

Heh.

hypoglycemic, but I take care of it through food and exercise, and it's as easy for me to watch for as breathing. So it's not that, thanks though. :)

Just a few years ago, there was this odd illness going around in Toronto that was affecting the inner ear, like a type of flu or something. It might be something like that.

I wanted to tell you, no b.s. now, that you have inspired me to take up my workouts again. Nothing hardcore, but you always seem to be able to work out for a much longer time than I can...and you don't make excuses not to work out. Even when you are illin'.

So there.

wow, that's really nice, thanks. :)

Even if you were just to walk every day for 30-60 minutes, I'd feel like you were working out. It's all about movement. :D

re. booze- it seems as though other people seem to get so much enjoyment out of drinking it, i'd prefer to leave it to the experts.
the occasional pink champagne or fruity wine (and by occasional, i mean twice a year) is nice, and sometimes i'll even bust out some orange vodka to go in my sugarfree cranberry pop, but really, i'd rather just drink me a milkshake than a daiquiri, any day.
