Yay for a new season of CSI!

It's the little things in life, really. So stretching in front of the tv to a good show is awesome.

Although, the show icked me out. A guy was buried alive, and that has been a huge *thing* for me since I was a wee chippie, when we were with our parents at their friends house, and my mom drank too much and passed out on the couch, and we watched some part of some awful show, of which the only part I remember is a woman who was buried alive.

So yeah.

ewewewewew!

Afterwards, we made corn muffins, and ate some. (YUM!) We got a couple of packages ready to send out (a letter to Scott and Shannon in Albuquerque, with some money for a couple of items for them to pick up for us, because they really ARE that kind, the relish for my granma, and an unspecified something else for someone who is on my lj and who I want it to be a surprise for (but who may already know)). It feels sort of like Christmas!

Only better because people are going to be totally surprised, and not expecting things.

[livejournal.com profile] zaftigvegan and I are having a birthday party in the middle of October. We're going to have a 70s party! With 70s games (twister, if we can find it!!), and pet rocks, and costumes, and a disco ball, and 70s music, and 70s food, and all SORTS of awesome stuff.

It's going to be so much fun!!

She's sent me some awesome ideas, and I haven't done enough searching online or anything about it, and I'm feeling very overwhelmed. :(

I don't rightly know WHY, but I was just feeling SO overwhelmed, like there's a million things to plan and do, and no time to do them all in.

Which leads directly to:

Now, every time something even slightly out of the ordinary happens (I feel very overwhelmed, a tv show icks me out, I can smell the kitty litter more than normal, whatEVER it may be), I am CONSTANTLY worried that I may be pregnant.

So, no more comments to that effect, ok? If I am, I am, and we'll deal with it. But I'm getting to an almost fever pitch, now, and I hate it.

Bleh.

Tomorrow I'm helping [livejournal.com profile] kirithebrave and [livejournal.com profile] sabyorange move. I'm glad to help, but I'm not in the mood. What with feeling icky all week, and the prospect of a trek downtown early morning tomorrow...

But I'll do it, and it won't take that long, and I'm sure it will be lovely! Particularly if I can take tonight completely off, then I'll be ready and raring to go tomorrow.

you're a sweetheart. I've always found these ones a bit dry, best toasted with jam and cheese. But that might just be my preference...

you could always just do a pregnancy test to find out.

yup, that's the plan, should I continue to feel ill for longer than this.

But I really really don't think I am. Too many factors against it.

Don't worry sweets, if it'd been just you, it would have been fine. Heh. EVERYONE is saying it. Including my massage therapist tonight.

Heh.

And, speaking of menstruation... last time I had a false period, so it's not proof positive (or, I guess, proof negative ;)

Scot and I went shopping at value village, and i seriously was rolling on the floor laughing. He looked soooooo good /and bad in some brown tight , bell botton pants with a huge belt, and a nice polyester shirt. It was Great, EVERYONE dressed up. A blast!

Maybe a little stroll down Front Street in New West, where all those Antique & Collectable stores are is in order? Even if you don't buy anything, it's fun to go looking at old stuff... and it might give you some ideas... ?

What about getting some black lightbulbs? I think they were a 70's thing weren't they?

You know, I watched the new CSI Miami, which I usually don't like that much (I couldn't even watch it last season, it sucked.. mostly because of the main guy) then I watched CSI NY which I was excited about.. but it let me down - Gary Senise was sad and he's SO sexy that I don't want him sad. Then, it was Thursday.. and my very favorite CSI was back on. It was funny, and delightful, and smart.. and I missed it so much. I sat there thinking, "ahh.. csi, I feel complete." I then realized that I have been watching WAY TOO MUCH tv but oh, what the hell ;)

I hope you're pregnant :)

I *love* Gary Sinise. he is SO sexy, I love his face! He almost always plays a bad guy though, which sucks. I wouldn't mind some good Gary action. heh.

So I watched CSI NY too, or at least, tried to, and the acting wasn't that great (except Gary), and the writing wasn't fab either. I've never super gotten into CSI Miami, but it'll do in a pinch... you're right, mainly because of the main guy.

And last night's CSI was great. Really, in this case, they haven't been able to figure out what they did right in the original, but as long as they keep the original, I'm fine with it!

I think it's the writing that makes the original better. But, I guess the casting has a lot to do with it, too. All the sexual innuendos are so hilarious, and the cast is quirky yet fun. Although the CSI cast is attractive, they aren't all -models- like on Miami or NY, you know? C'mon.. in real life these people are total geeks with no fashion sense.

Richard and I laugh because everything that the main guy on miami says is SO IMPORTANT, and they always cut to a commercial after he speaks. It's hard to convey in type, but everything he says is like the DUN-DUN-DUN-DUN music they play in thriller movies.
