loopy from the cough syrup...
Sep. 29th, 2004 12:16 pmI've been sent home from work because I'm so sick. Cough up a lung and people seem to want you to leave, I just don't understand it. ;)
Andrew called the carpenter's union today. It sounds really good. He's going in on Friday to talk to them, give them his resume (which he's already discussed) and give his first 6 months of dues. It's really great!
He's excited, and I love that. I love seeing him excited about possibilities.
My Granma got the Sweet Cucumber Relish I sent her. She tried some for lunch today, as did my mother and uncles. They all thought it was delicious. Granma said it was lovely of me to send it.
My mother and uncles have been with her all the time, because she's started having mini-seizures. She's in her last days. The up side is that she's happy all the time now, and not nauseaus any more.
The down side is that she's going to be gone, and I miss her already.
For purely selfish reasons, I'm so happy she got the relish before she died. I'm so glad she knows I love her, and she got to eat some relish I made just for her.
I'm kinda teary now. Dammit.
We bought a lilac candle yesterday. I was so excited to find something that ACTUALLY smells like lilacs! But now the entire apartment smells like it, and now I can smell the falsity. Do you know what I mean? It's like lilacs... sort of. I hope it calms down soon. Yikes.
I took the day off work yesterday. Andrew hopped my up on cough syrup, and I was SILLY. I played lots of icewind dale, too. It was way fun.
Today, I think I might do more of the same.
Oh, and Aaron got his birthday present from me and Andrew. He loved the shirt! He said his cats were jealous. :P
