"Why do people go to other countries, and then complain when things are not exactly the way they are at home???"

Now you've gone too far. It's about rights. It's about privileges. It's about freedoms. It's about privacy.

It's not about the fact that we don't have green chile at home, or that it isn't cold enough here in winter, that the air is dry, or that people are different.

It's about the fact that in the things that are WRITTEN ABOUT IN YOUR CONSTITUTION, I do not feel safe, taken care of, or even cared about.

The thumbprint was about an over the top reaction to bank fraud.

Do you think there is no bank fraud in Canada?

I heard you when you said it the first time, that's why I stopped you from repeating yourself. You chose not to react as if you understood my concerns. You reacted in a way to trivialize what I was feeling. THAT is why I reacted strongly.

You have, in effect, said that because I am not living here permanently, I have no right to point out or be concerned about the, yes, growing fascist regime here. That's bullshit, akin to what allowed hitler to get as far as he did. For 1), if everyone except for those who "had the right" to be concerned were, changes would not be made. And for 2) I bloody well have the right to be concerned about how things affect me, right now, and in my possible future, Whether or Not I Can Leave The Situation Later. Would you stay in an abusive relationship, and say nothing, just because you could leave it at any time?

No, I didn't know that "Don't even talk to me about..." was an expression.

I was not calling you a fascist, or implying you were one. Since I thought the above was a statement, not expression, I honestly thought you were telling me to keep my mouth shut because I had no right to speak. You can see why that would upset me.

I didn't hear you because you didn't say what you wanted me to hear. I thank you for being concerned that I might be concerned about Andrew's illegal status. I was not.

I have been very careful in the way I have written, to not be inflammatory or say anything that would definitely ruin our friendship.
