I LOVE pomegranates.

Yummy.

And Andrew loves me SO MUCH he gave me the last piece of pumpkin pie in my lunch. Hooray!!

I finally heard from my brother - he's safe in Winnipeg, and instead of hitch-hiking the rest of the way, is taking the bus to Toronto. He's leaving on a 7:30am bus tomorrow morning.

That's good. Less worry.

I got a migraine last night. Yuck. And then had a horrifying coughing fit that it took !!2!! puffs on my (new, non-expired) inhaler to fix. Oh, hooray.

But actually, I feel better today. Still coughing, still had the migraine when I woke up (so I took some ibuprofen to get through the day), but coughing LESS. And less nose-drippy. So, there's hope.

Other than that, there's not much to report.

My Mom always gives me a pomegranate at about this time of year. Now, it isn't really Fall until she gives me one. :)

Do you ever worry that your mother is trying to trap you in a greek conception of hell for 6 months when she does that? *grin*

Oh! And now I have this overwhelming desire for an icon of a juicy, luscious, fruitful pomegranate!

I don't think I've ever had one... Is that the fruit with eighty million seeds? So many that it seems to be comprised solely of seeds? Cactus pears aren't worth eating because of the seeds, to me. (My dad loves them.) (Yes, I know I'm lazy & missing out. I guess it's a thing of mine? I'm not a fan of seeds.)

I don't think I've ever eaten a cactus pear, but pomegranates *are* the red fruit with all the seeds in them. In fact, you're supposed to eat the seeds, not the flesh. I think they're yummy, but one thing I notice now is that here on the west coast they are FAR juicier than when I had them in Ontario. I didn't like them nearly as much when I lived there.
