Yesterday we went out to the vegan vietnamese place (only one in Canada!), and ordered a new dish (sliced fish claypot), and didn't realize it had no vegetables. When they found out, they MADE US VEGGIES for free. For free! Cauliflower and Broccoli and the most perfect green beans ever. So sweet. We tipped larger than normal.

THEN, our server came up to us, with this shy grin, and said they had something for us, and presented us with a really pretty silk fan. She said it was to thank us for our constant support. She said they're going to give them to their customers at Christmas, but that we were the first ones they were giving it to. That is SO SWEET. (I think they just were excited and wanted to give one away and get the reaction...)

I like being a regular there.

there's a vegan vietnamese place on dundas right beside buddah's. it's pretty good.
