brightbluegirlI cut Andrew's hair last night. Not much, just trimmed it everywhere. It falls much nicer now, and frames his face. I love it.
And get this - SO DOES HE! Andrew usually hates haircuts for the first week (whether or not I do them - when anyone does them), but this time, he liked it. Possibly because it's not so short, I don't know.
Even so, I'm thrilled. I cut his hair, and he loved it, WOOHOO!!
I've been worried about my brother - he'd seemed to be withdrawing, and eating poorly, and in general getting worse. But last night after he got home, I made a point to be available for discussion, and he seemed to better anyway. We fed him tacos, and I chatted with him about money and school and things, and it was good. I feel better about him, his health, his plans... everything.
I worry about him a lot. He's trying so hard.
He's being really logical though, and I love it.
Our debt has improved! I don't know how I failed to notice it, but we are indeed doing better. Our minimum payments decreased by $100, for example. W00t! The way we were doing it the last few months really was working.
I feel better now, about fiscal type responsibility. I see that we have made progress, and if I can find a way to take some time off without us going backwards, well, I think that will work out just fine.
I spoke to my team lead, and she thought me taking time off would be doable. She spoke to one of the VPs, who said that she thinks it will be doable as well. My review is on Monday at 3pm, so we'll see what actually comes out of it.
Until March 31, though, I think I'll be working a LOT. With luck, though, it won't feel so bad... I have 21.5 hours to make up from when I was in Ontario, at the very least, and the company is encouraging people to work extra hours so they can take vacation in case there aren't enough jobs. However... well...
yeah, I know that's not a big deal for me. All I care about is having worked the correct number of hours for my paycheques. I don't want to lose some money at the end of it - especially when I'm not yet certain what sort of $ we'll have while I take time off.
I lost track of my thoughts again. *sigh* Work, and all that.
I've taken on a second project at work. The project I used to be on needed my help, so, as of next week, after I finish a workday on my current project, I'll be staying on to do extra hours on the other project. Then, on the weekend, I'll do overtime on my current project.
I'm going to be SO BORING. Ugh.
But, it's for the best.

zaftigvegan today, just for a few hours. Tomorrow evening, and Saturday during the day, I'll be working on a contract for Cam, and then Saturday eve we'll hang out with Saby and Kiri, and on Sunday with zaftigvegan and her chilluns.
Man, how did I get so busy???

yay for improved debt!
and thanks for the childcare last night!
oh - and i was wrong, the parade does start at 10am. yikes. i am hoping to be there around 9:00 or 9:30 so we can get a good spot. last year we were right at the arch, the kids got to sit on the cement pedestal and it worked out well. so maybe look for us there.
