even one day off can be a good one...
Mar. 14th, 2005 10:09 amI had a fantastic day with Andrew yesterday.
I woke up early - stupidly so - and did some stuff around the apartment - wrote emails, cleaned the bathroom (it was frightening in there), and then, once it was actually light out, made a double batch of blueberry cornmeal pancakes.
I expected to be tired, but wasn't. Instead, after my brother went to work, Andrew and I did more house stuff (vacuuming, a bit of cooking, sweeping the floor, etc), and then went for a nice long walk together. :D
It was such a gorgeous day, too. I love being out in the spring sun, feeling the sun on my arms and face, walking with my handsome man next to me. We wandered around and talked, stopped for a snack, and did a bunch of grocery shopping on the way home.
And THEN I got to have the bested nap EVER. Napping in a warm bed as the sun streams in your window, feeling the breeze on your face, is possibly one of the best sensations ever known.
Anyway, we got everything on our to-do list done, and finished the evening watching "Heathers".
We went to bed on time, but stayed up talking. My man is incredible. He told me something and I got it. I understood it for the first time in my life, and I cried, it was so important. So stunning. All I could keep saying, over and over, was "you're so amazing. you're so amazing". And he is. And then it somehow degraded into incredibly non-politically correct jokes, and before I knew it, it was way past bedtime.
So I'm a little tired today, but I'm certainly happy.
