is it delivery? no, it's delicio!
Mar. 28th, 2005 10:51 amSo we've decided to stop our organic delivery service for the next couple of months.
When we're both working, it does help us out to have stuff delivered... and when we'd just moved here, and didn't know where anything was, it was a particularly good find.
But with me taking time off, it really makes more sense for us to get our groceries the way the rest of Vancouver organic hippies do - by shopping on the Drive. I know it's going to be cheaper, but I don't know how MUCH cheaper. If it's cheap enough, it'll be worth the extra time.
Plus, to be fair, I work near an organic foods store, which allows me to pick up stuff when we need it last minute. It's time to stop being so lazy. Actually needing to go out to the Drive will mean that we get out on the town more often, too.
So I "postponed service indefinitely" last night, and here we go! woohoo!
I didn't get to go to Fabricland yesterday. *pout* They were CLOSED! Those JERKS!!!
Instead Andrew and I went home and I talked to my mom (she's doing well) and then he played the expansion for Icewind dale, and I worked out and cooked (japanese vegetable pancakes), and read a cookbook his grandmother had given me, and then later Andrew and I watched Bulletproof Monk before bed. Just a quiet evening.
Unfortunately, Andrew's sick, and I fear I am getting it too. Just a cold, but still... we REALLY don't want to be sick for our Seattle trip. We have tons of plans, and sick trips aren't fun!!! We've both been popping vitamin C and oregano oil, and tonights dinner will have lots of garlic in it, and we're just going to keep trying to get well. Think healthy thoughts at us!

Date: 2005-03-28 10:48 pm (UTC)When are you planning on going to Seattle? I know you planned it as a gift to Andrew for his b-day...? I just can't recall when?
I miss the hell out of WA. One day, I'll be back. I think.
