Well yesterday was quite sucky! I got whatever zaftigvegan had, which let me tell you, is a HORRIBLE HORRIBLE sickness that involves going to the outhouse often. Ugh.

However, today I am feeling TONS better. It may be because I went to bed around 4pm yesterday and pretty much stayed there until 7am today except to eat some toast and pee. And, of course, visit the outhouse.

There is something so insanely perfect about a home that has an outhouse (for solid wastes) and high speed internet. I love it.

Hehe, I can't imagine being sick and having to use an outhouse!

Ironically, the cottage we've rented on the beach has all the plumbing you could want, but no internet at all. Not even a phone!

I'm going to have to take lots of books...

Places on the beach here have sulpher in the water so the less plumbling, the less sink, I suppose.

Do you through peat moss into the toilet after you use it? I've only used the composting one at the Buddhist/hippie/meditation space on the island and that's there routine. Any excuse to play wtih peat moss.

Yes, we throw peat moss on the doody. And I love the smell of peat moss, so it really means the outhouse is not stinky.

we were supposed to go today for some qi gong, but it was rainy so I elected to stay home. I'm going home on Monday or Tuesday, so I don't know if I'll get out there again... I want to see it, as Andrew and I get the catalog each year and it looks awesome.

bq and I went just to take a look around last time we were on the island, which was also the first time we were on the island.

I'm hoping that since we're staying longer this time I can go take a yoga class or two, they're probably much better than the ones I'm getting at my local gym!

Damn, maybe we'll get a composting toilet if peat moss is a given. The one I know doesn't stink at all--I meant that the sulfur makes water stink at places near the beach here.
