So last night, Andrew's game got cancelled, so we walked to IKEA and did some reconnaisance for the big move.

Things I'm certain we're getting:

Noresund bed frame (dark brown)
4 underbed storage thingers

Beddinge Populare
1 big underbed storage thinger


Some IVAR thing... but we don't know what, yet. He's been doing some designing, and we're trying to figure out how much we want to pay for, and where it would go. Kind of hard to do when you don't have a good enough picture in your head of what the place looks like... but not SUPER hard or anything.

Tonight I get the keys to the place, and I'm going to Home Depot with our new landlady to pick out kitchen tiles and blinds for the windows/patio door. I'll take some pictures of the place then (I hope), and definitely do a few measurements while I'm there.

We chose IVAR because it's unstained, so he can stain it the same colour as the rest of our shelves and our dining room table and chairs.

Ack. I'm both excited and anxious about all this!

yes!! I'm having a blast! I went there today and did some measurements and looked around today (they haven't finished renovating it and cleaning it). And I am SO EXCITED I'M MANIC.

awesome! I'm jealous that you get a new place and new stuff! As much of a pain as it is to move, it's also really nice because you can clean out and start fresh.

So the landlord is going to repaint and retile for you?

yup, but all the paint is white (bleh). That's ok. We're not doing any massive decorating until we're sure we like it there. And it'll be easier on our pockets to paint one room at a time.
