Saturdays are good

So far, today has been GREAT.

Hatha Yoga in the am with lumpy_lia, and now I am a convert, oh yes indeedy. I even bought me a 9 week introductory pass.

Then I met up with the ever delightful zaftigvegan and her brilliant chilluns, and we went strawberry picking! And the berries were small and it was the end of the season and the patch was pretty small (it was an organic farm, which is a GOOD thing), and I had imagined getting tons and tons and tons, but yaknow, that's my imagination. Anyway, I got 3 pounds, and that's awesome, and they are SO TASTY.

And apparently the blueberries (they have WAY more blueberries) are good as of next week! And they have raspberries and cherries too! Who wants to go picking next week?

Heh.

I won't ever get anything done, I'll always be berry picking.

Anyway. Then I had a nap, and now I've made dinner (soba noodles with green soy beans and spicy tahini sauce), and when Andrew gets home we'll eat, then put up the last of the shelves, then go off to a neat-o improv thing we found out about.

oh yes, oh yes indeedy. Well, as long as you get to eat them too. I think, perhaps, only the picking, none of the eating would be a version of hell. A very, very VERY bad hell.

It's Formosa Nursery, out in Maple Ridge. I met her at a skytrain station, and she drove us out there.

Let me talk to Andrew about getting together! The new place is coming along, the last 10% takes the longest, you know? Anyway, it's doing well. I love it here. The kitties are doing great. Bear took a jaunt outside today without me noticing, but he came back in of his own accord. I'm glad he didn't get squooshed.
