I biked to Yoga yesterday... it was really hard! I mean, yoga was. Not the biking. The biking took about 15 minutes, and that was AWESOME, because now I can bike to yoga whenever I want to, and also, it means that Main street is a walkable distance for Andrew and I, so that if we ever want to spend an evening, and walk down there and go to Bo Kong for dinner, or The Foundation, we SO TOTALLY CAN.
WAHOO!!!
Seriously!
Anyway, I biked to Yoga, and then yoga'ed (it was a very hard class for me, but I understand that although I have the flexibility, my back is not strong, and my shoulders are not strong, so... this is good for me), and then I biked home.
Afterwards, we hung out with our next door neighbours and got to bed late... which is fine, really, since there's nothing for me to do at work today anyway. Which I knew, so I didn't get in to work until 9:30.
La la la!
Tonight - IKEA with
lumpy_lia, I hope. I want a standy lamp, a bigger rug (or two, since they are apparently cheap right now), and curtains if they have any good ones. Yeah!
I biked to work this morning, too, and that's good. I think it takes a little longer than I originally thought - closer to 30 minutes. Still awesome, though. Also, soon I will have my very own key to the building locker room. That is VERY cool.
So I don't have a paid account, so no polls for me, but I need you to help me make a decision.
zaftigvegan and her honey are coming over for dinner on Saturday, and I want to have a lovely dinner, and these are the things I thought of:
1) Japanese! Veggie sushi, and miso soup, and green tea, and agedashi tofu, and gyoza, and a dessert made with sweet red beans.
2) Thai! Thai green curry, or Swimming Rama (a peanut and coconut dish), fresh spring rolls, a sweet chili dip to dip them in, deep fried tofu with something to dip them in, and some sort of dessert (I could probably get away with a sweet red bean dessert here too, or I can do a mango/coconut milk/sweet rice thing)
3) Indian! pakoras with a cilantro chutney, "butter" tofu, gujarati green beans, chapati, chai, and some indian dessert...
So - if you were coming over, which would sound best to you?

Date: 2005-06-28 06:34 pm (UTC)sweet red bean desserts are soooo good. I've never made any, but I love them when I get them at asian restaurants for dessert.
Anytime you're in town, you are definitely invited to dinner. :D

Date: 2005-06-28 06:47 pm (UTC)I don't like curry or indian food, so if I were coming you'd better make lots of SUSHI. But then again I like meat in my sushi, so make whatever you want for your vegan friends ;)

Date: 2005-06-28 06:55 pm (UTC)Well, if YOU came over, I'd probably make a whole bunch of different appetizers, some that appeared to be fake meat/cheese type stuff. Different food for different folks!

Date: 2005-06-28 08:06 pm (UTC)As far as places, I agree, but I wonder if this was actually the case... I've been mulling this over, and sometimes it's just that change can break up the stagnant waters and open other stuff up, if that makes sense.
Also, routine gets me down like nothing doing. I mean, routine bothers me SO MUCH. It's dreadful boring. And all my routines had to change, so I'm happy right now...
