I go in, they say "On the surface it may look like you're doing great, but REALLY, you suck. And the fact that you and that guy are no longer talking, well... yeah, you really need to shape up. No raise, either."
What really happened:
"Lisa. You're above average in call volume, above average in answering help mail, and average in tickets opened and tickets followed up on. You should work a bit more on the tickets, but other than that you're fantastic. We wrote that you have a wonderful personality on the phone with clients, you deal professionally with your peers, even when there are personality conflicts, and you do more than your fair share. Your raise will be AT LEAST $1/hour, it should happen in a couple of weeks. When did you want to start teaching that class? What needs doing for it? How'd you like that book you were reading? What are your long term plans? How are you?"
Things are good.
