Blackbird singing in the dead of night...
Feb. 19th, 2003 08:17 amOh, music can put me in such a good mood.
I just got onto the mp3 server at work, yesterday, and all yesterday and all today I've been listening to music, and it's wonderful.
We can't afford to buy music, of course, even the used cds that we usually buy. I've been feeling that our music selection is pretty stagnant, though. But we have a bunch of cds, so I'm going to burn a bunch of cds and we'll have more to listen to. Halleluah!
We walked to the co-op last night and got some bread. Carrot-poppy bread, to be exact. The walk was nice as usual, and the bread is sooo delicious. I can see tiny pieces of carrot, and of course the poppy seeds. Yum yum.
Even though I was still tired from the work out the night before, and the walk and everything, I had trouble sleeping last night. I woke up around 3 and just couldn't relax.
But today I'm in a good mood anyway. It's probably the music.
Yesterday I found a job that I would really like. It's in Toronto (well, Markham), for a big company. I don't know how I feel about big companies any more... well, ok, I know exactly how I feel about big companies, but I'm willing to live with it for a short period while we pay back all debts and sock back a tiny bit of savings and all that.
Of course, I haven't even applied yet, although yesterday was a flurry of resumes and cover letters. I think by end of day today, or possibly tomorrow, I'll apply. I'm excited, and much less worried about jobs and moving and things.
