brightbluegirlBoth sides of my family (my parents are divorced) want us to come home - they don't want us to be here during this time.
I appreciate the sentiment, although it just makes me more sad and anxious. I'm over-reacting - I must be.
However, we're sticking to our plan - wait and watch and above all else, be ready to run home if necessary.
Those poor Dixie Chicks. I feel like I should buy an album of theirs just to support them. Even though I've never heard their music.
Today I teach the first of a series of Basic Internet courses. I'll be glad when it's over.
The first is always the worst. I'm afraid I'll forget the order I'm going to teach everything, I'm afraid I'll go too quickly...
I've taught many a class in days gone by, though. Primarily self defence classes and karate classes, but still. I've taught and I've taught and I've taught. I've got the teacher mentality down just fine.
But I'll be glad when the first one is over.
My legs still hurt like a bitch. Sitting down and standing up SUCK. We postponed last night's workout, today is my workout-free day, and we'll work out tomorrow and Friday instead.
Normally I'd say we'd workout tomorrow and Saturday, but Saturday is our celebration for Andrew's birthday.
His birthday is on Sunday. He'll be 21. I'm taking Saturday off, and we've been saving up our money for over a month now, so we're going to rent a car, drive to Santa Fe, go to Ten Thousand Waves for a private outdoor hottub moment, explore, and have a nice dinner. It's going to be divine.
Then we're going to come home, and go grocery shopping. That may not sound like a big deal to anyone ELSE, but I'm excited about shopping! We're actually going to break out the credit cards and put a bunch of essentials on them. We've been running out of grocery money every week, and that's just with buying groceries. And soon we're going to need cat food, cat litter, shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen... just things that we really can't get without using the credit cards.
Considering we haven't used our credit cards for 6 months, I'm ok with using them for essentials. As far as I'm concerned, that's what they're for.
I had a dream last night that I'd remembered that I'd killed someone. Two someones. I was confessing it all to my best friend from high school, and remembering it while I did so.
The first person was this big guy. He'd tried to rape me in this big open airy beautiful house I was visiting. I hit him to get him away from me, and accidentally killed him. I then proceeded to cover up the crime so well I never got caught...
Except that this woman (that I really don't like, and haven't seen for years, so it's not a big deal) saw me, so I killed her too.
So that was the dream. I woke up extremely confused - I couldn't remember if that had happened in real life or not. It took a while before I could figure it out.
I had another dream, that my friend Suzanne and my friend Olivia was in. We were shopping in a mall. It was a fun dream, full of brightly coloured clothes and different types of stores and fun things like that.
