pipe dreams
Apr. 1st, 2003 11:30 amI thought I had stuff to say, but now I don't recall.
I'm tired. It's just from working out though, and that's ok with me. That's a good tired.
I came in and my manager asked me if I would switch to a weekend of Tuesday/Wednesday. That's ok with me. If Andrew were working a regular work week, I'd probably care, but since he's not, that's ok with me. I just want the time with him. And I like helping out that little bit more in the office. Expecially when it requires no extra skin off my nose.
Unfortunately, it DOES mean I'm now working until Monday, to get my work week straightened out without screwing up my paycheque. I can handle it, though.
thetamermaid called me last night before I had a chance to call her. Sneaky devil. :P
She's coming to visit, she's coming to visit! We still don't know exact dates, but we're going to have tons of fun. And we're looking at driving to San Francisco together, if possible. Renting a car together should be ok. After all, it cost $50 after taxes and insurance for one day, so for 4 days it would be $200 (ish), plus gas. Not bad! Well, not bad when you're splitting costs. We have to find out if it's even feasible, with pfloide and all, and what splitting costs means (do Andrew and I pay 1/2, or 2/3?), and when, and etc, and etc, and etc...
Well, you know.
But it's exciting. I really wanted to take Andrew out there, and this'll be the cheapest/best way to do so, if it all works.
She also said she's looking at getting a house in Toronto, and wouldn't it be fun if we all lived together? (in some sort of separate housing so the cats stayed with us and didn't bother her, of course)
And it would, oh it would! thetamermaid was delicious to live with. It all feels like pipe dreams though - I want her to get the house she's happy with, since it's for her, and of course she will, but of course if we moved to Toronto I can think of no other place I'd rather live than with her (if possible), although of course I want the cats to have more space to run than just one room. But it's all about *if* we move to Toronto, and we have no idea where we're going to end up yet.
Hence the pipe dream feeling.
