Reminder to self: Call abelynx. Suggest she visit Pfloide for a while, we all meet in San Fran and have way-party-wow-fun-together-time, then come back to Albuquerque with us for a couple of days.
Damn. Can't do that until tomorrow at earliest.
I have a headache. It started in the middle of last night. I don't mean the evening, I mean when I was sleeping. I have NEVER had a headache start while sleeping before.
I think it's because we went for a walk and stopped at a cafe and I got a "Fresh fruit tart" (and fed him most of the cream and crust), with strawberries and blueberries and blackberries and mango and kiwi and orange on it, but it wasn't organic. And it didn't even occur to me until this morning that that could be a problem.
It used to be that conventionally grown fruits and vegetables gave me migraines only when I didn't wash them properly. Or when other factors all came into alignment at the same time. But now that we've been eating all organic for long enough, my body doesn't have as much resistance to that. Or they didn't wash the fruit before making the tart.
Icky icky.
But here I am at work anyway - I'm teaching a class tonight and I need those 4 or 5 extra hours worth of money. They don't give sick pay for overtime you "would have" worked. :P
I'm feeling better as time goes on (maybe). I guess there's a benefit to going through the worst of it as you sleep.
Just as I was falling asleep yesterday, I thought about:
We only learn what we CHOOSE to learn.
So if you want to teach someone something they don't want to learn, you need to cajole them. Show them why they want to learn it. Show them how it benefits them.
