unmotivated

brightbluegirlJust finished teaching another Internet class. The last one of this series. Sweet, I get some time off teaching. I can only handle so many beginners for so long.
Anyway.
Last night was an unexpected emotional situation. A friend called because his roommate's kitty got hit by a car. We went over there and stayed with him until his roommate got back. I went into full care-giver mode. Hugs and "shush shush", pet the sad ones (human and otherwise), check the kitty for life, say "have you done this, have you done this", making sure he ate, keeping his mind off it...
It was pretty sad. And I worried, a lot, that I was just being in the way and wierd. But I wouldn't have wanted to be alone, so I was glad to keep him from being alone.
We went home and I lay on the couch and Bear-cat lay on my chest and fell asleep, paw stretched out to touch me, and it was so sweet, and so right there.
I haven't got any real news other than that. I have some jobs to apply to, and I haven't got the motivation. So I may apply later in the day, or even tomorrow. After all, I'm still thick into my work week.
I don't even have the motivation to write, today. Maybe later.
