I have an INTERVIEW on Tuesday morning!!!! An INTERVIEW!!!

Argh.

Yesterday Andrew and I were having an afternoon nap. The sort of nap where you drift in and out of consciousness, gloriously stretched out on the bed while the breeze caresses your body.

The phone rang.

Andrew jumped up to get it.

It was for me.

I suspiciously thought it might be a sales call, so I didn't answer as perkily as I could have.

But it was an HR woman from a company in Mississauga! She asked me a bunch of questions, and then asked if I'd be available for an interview. (insert a bunch of fumbling about where I see if the company wants to fly me down - they do not) We agree to a phone interview on Tuesday morning.

I TOTALLY fucked up that interview. I was spacey, I forgot words, and worst of all, I gave a BAD NUMBER for salary. I said 50K. But it's a lead position. For a lead position I'd like closer to 60K. I'm going to have to mention that on Tuesday morning.

Ack.

Anyway, I said enough of the right things that she wanted to move me on higher to a second interview with the manager, so that's good.

I am so EXCITED! And STRESSED! And CURIOUS! And everything.

Our weekend started off with a whimper, but quickly turned wonderful.

It STARTED with the Pe-cat peeing on the bed. $!&%$#! kitty.

Andrew had spent Monday night fiddling with his bike... trying to put a new tube on his back tire, because the old tube was flat. He couldn't make it fit, so he fiddled and fiddled with the old tube, trying to patch the air leaks. He thought he'd fixed it...

Until Tuesday morning, when the tube lasted JUST until we got to the chiropractor.

So that was our not so great morning. However, after the chiro appt, we walked our bikes home, did some things, went for a swim (swimming at lunch is super cool, cuz they play music), went home, and walked down to Nob Hill to go to the bike store and ask about tires and tubes and things.

We ended up eating lunch at Kelly's. A late lunch, because we didn't eat before swimming. He had a burger, I had wings. The menu specifically said "Request Hot Sauce", so I didn't request it. They came with hot sauce anyway. DRENCHED in hot sauce. VERY hot sauce.

So I ate 3 wings. That's probably the best diet trick I've found yet.

Anyway, we walked home, and I napped on the couch for a couple of hours.

Picture this:

A woman in a simple cotton shift, head on her boyfriend's knee, stretched out on the couch, breathing softly while the breeze gently massages her body and her boyfriend rests his hand on her stomach as he reads.

Sounds idyllic, doesn't it?

It was.

Tuesday night we watched both American Idol and Buffy. OH, BUFFY!!!! *sigh*

Wednesday was even better than how Tuesday turned out.

We woke up early, biked to the credit union, then to popular outfitters to get our tent and things (the tent was on SALE, w00t!), and then home. We were going to go swimming, but we were tired and hungry, so instead we wandered over to Blake's Lotaburger (continuing our search for good American fast food), then had our wonderful 3 hour drifty nap that ended up in a phone call interview.

That evening we did laundry, then made home made basil pasta filled with a squash/garlic/ricotta filling. YUMMMMMMMMMM and ate while we watched the American Idol show.

And I must admit, although I like Kimberly Locke, I was glad to see that Clay and Ruben stayed. I mean, Clay sang Mack the Knife, and he SLAYED it. Boo yah.

I am SO trashy. Even with 5 channels, I can find something stupid to watch when the mood strikes.

Revolutionary my ass.

I think Clay was BORN to sing Mack the Knife. And, hey, revel in your trashy guilty pleasures. Resistance is futile.

Ooh! Ooh!
