It's a very quiet day here at work, but perhaps you've heard me say that before.

Several things in my life have conspired together to shake my faith in humanity. And for those of you who know me - you know my faith in humanity is pretty deep.

But there are those who constantly re-affirm my faith, perhaps just by calling me unexpectedly, or telling me sweet things. But more importantly, by being who they are. By being upstanding, good people with morals and values that I agree with. The sort of people who give to strangers, love their neighbours, expect nothing in return, and speak with honesty. And who are grown-up, dammit.

This world is full of people who are immature and proud of it, who think the world should sink to their level, instead of working their level best to grow and help the world grow with them.

So yeah. I have faith in my friends, but I'm still crushed, so far as the rest of it goes.

My friends mean more to me than they will ever know.
