I'm just a posting freak today.
I keep forgetting to mention how GOOD this city smells. It must be the lack of pollution. Every day when I'm out, even on the busier streets, I can smell the trees and the flowers and the dirt. The rain smells 5x stronger than in Ontario (perhaps because Ontario is more humid on a day to day basis?), and even in winter, the smell of cedar burning in fireplaces is delicious.
*sigh*
I'll miss this.
The zipper in my shorts just split. I now have safety pins pinning my zipper together. :( And these are my favorite shorts in the whole world. It's not like I have a lot of clothes, anyway. They're really comfortable, and they have big pockets, and I dyed them with black, so they're kind of a low key camoflage (more gray than anything). I'm going to have to try sewing in another zipper. I'm HORRIBLE at resewing zippers by hand.
And what I don't get is... I'm smaller than I ever was while wearing these shorts. They've been through everything, so WHY would they break NOW? Bleh.
