I have lost **2** pounds this week.
This diet rocks for me. I can eat as much as I want, as long as it's fruit/vegetables/beans/nuts/sprouted grain bread/sugar free condiments (that means I can have honey or maple syrup!). I find myself hungry less (when I don't have sugar, my hypoglycemia seems to be COMPLETELY in control), so I eat less.
Last night we had lemon pudding, and I had bread with honey, and we shared a mango.
But I lost 2 pounds this week.
I haven't lost 2 pounds in a week all year!
Life is good.
We're thinking of staying on the diet for the full two weeks, going off for 2-3 days, then going back on for two weeks, and repeating.
Well, assuming I lose a similar amount next week. We'll see.
We watched Monsters Inc. last night. I hadn't seen it, and I'm so glad I finally did. Pixar rocks my world. They're so good at creating facial expressions and body language. It was delicious.
We'd already seen the short film that preceded it - "For the Birds", so we were looking forward to seeing it again. It's hilarious. Have you seen it? HILARIOUS.
What a sweet movie.
Actually, last night was a really great night. It was a day off working out, so we ate a bit, played some Pac Man World, made some food for lunches, and watched the movie. It was all very low key. Because the night and the movie were so good, I went to bed happy, and I woke up happy (the weight loss helped with that, too).
So I'm happy. Content. Peaceful.

Date: 2003-06-07 12:07 pm (UTC)Since we're not doing it for the Raw and are instead doing it mostly for the no-sugar no-simple-carbs detox cleansing idea, I really don't care. We put honey on our bread sometimes, and maple syrup in our recipes when they call for it...
