I'm wearing brand new top of the line running shoes. They're very spiffy. We bought them yesterday, and now I want to try jogging somewhere. We might try it tonight.

Good running shoes make me bouncy. With good running shoes, my feet feel as light as air.

We also bought the new Harry Potter book. We weren't going to... but we needed change for the bus and the book was 40% off.

We read to each other for hours yesterday. He read to me while I made stuffed eggplant for dinner, and honey mustard bean salad, and cut up vegetables for our lunches today. I read to him while he made lemon pudding for dessert.

Then I gave up and curled up in the corner and read just for myself. I'm half-way through, I hope to finish it today so he can read it tomorrow (he most probably won't be working).

Yesterday was a good day.

The basic internet class I taught on Wednesday was pretty horrible. The woman who sat right next to my laptop was wearing a bucket of perfume. 4 people in the class didn't know how to use a mouse. Nobody could follow directions, and the proctor - a junior accountant who wants to teach the class when I leave - has horrible trouble-shooting skills, so she kept calling me over to fix people's problems.

Don't call the fucking instructor over to fix a problem. Fix it yourself. That's what the proctors are FOR!!!!!

I had to skip some items to get the class out only a few minutes late.

Needless to say, I had a headache when I left work. I got home, ate some watermelon, and Andrew sent me to bed. His idea was that we could nap and then go for a late walk, but we slept through the night. My head didn't stop aching until around 3am.

It was a good sleep though.

So we woke up pretty early yesterday morning, drank kiwi/banana smoothies, and walked down to Nob Hill to get bananas and soy milk from the co-op, and a tube and goo from the Bike co-op.

Andrew has decided he's going to make all the new furniture for our new place, so we wandered around one of our favourite old furniture places, talked about what we'd like, and then he drew pictures while we waited for the bus to take us to the mall so I could get my shoes.

We got the shoes almost right away - I new the brand and style I wanted, even had the number of an old style, and they showed me a newer style, with the same features I wanted, for $10 off. Good shit.

Then we decided, where better to look for summer dresses? I WANT A SUMMER DRESS. We looked through TONS of stores. We walked through that mall for 3 hours. At least. And I discovered that it doesn't matter WHAT store I enter, I am a size 14!!! WooHOO! That felt good. I tried on tons of dresses, but the only one we both liked was $45. It was too large in the top half, and very comfortable in the bottom half. (I guess I'm actually between sizes right now) I just couldn't bring myself to buy it. Maybe later, thought I.

What I REALLY want is a sewing machine, dammit. I keep talking about it and keep talking about it, but them thangs is expensive. Maybe by the end of the year.

I feel good. Revitalized. Happy.

Wow. That is really so nice that you read to each other. Touching, really. I hope I find someone someday who will read to me, and to whom I can read.

He's very handy! I've never had a handy man around the house before him, and I love it.

He's going to make book shelves and a computer desk and maybe even an extra counter for the kitchen. It all depends on the space we end up with though, so it's pretty theoretical until we get "there" - wherever that is.

It IS very nice that you read to each other. I would never have thought to do something like that, but it's so. . . cute. Geez, why can't I find a better word than that?

What shoes did you buy? I'm thinkin' I should buy running shoes to, ya know, run in.

My dad's dream is to make his own furniture. Also, own a restaurant, have a darkroom, and teach neurology instead of practicing it. Poor daddy.

As for summer dresses: YAY for the size change!!
Rarely am I able to find a dress that fits me properly, top and bottom. From what I gather about said dresses, my breasts are too small for my hips, and my hips are too large for my breasts. I've actually had to have dresses taken in at the top because of this . . . and this was at my thinnest, when I was in my best-ever shape, in high school. *shrug* ~ Youmna
