Life is so good.
Jun. 28th, 2003 10:03 amI finally got my Canadian Tax refund back. It's 1/6th of what the accountant said it would be, but I don't mind. It's still a refund, that we didn't put in our budget anywhere. We had originally thought it would be a payment required. This is MUUUUCCCHHH better.
We decided that Ottawa is a no-go. Sure, I had a good time when I lived there, but that was before, when things were different. I did hardly anything then - worked and worked out, watched a lot of tv, went to the occasional movie, and that was it. Now things are different. I'm with the boy (who says Ottawa U isn't good for him), there's someone there I don't want to see again, and my job wants are more specific (laid back company, fun product, fun people).
I'd visit Ottawa, though.
Today I applied to 2 companies in Vancouver that looked cool, even though they didn't have jobs posted. It's good practice, and it's helping me branch out my job search (and more importantly, relax).
Today the boy is out working at a client's neighbour's place. It's amazing to watch him get jobs because people see how good he is at stuff. So he's doing something landscape-y. That's my darling man.
Last night we walked down to Nob Hill and got some sushi, and ran a couple of errands. We tried a bit of jogging, and we were ok with it physically, but it was too damn hot to jog. We're going to jog again, but we want to do it in the mornings/evenings, when it isn't as stupidly hot. I don't like heat sickness.
Next week I have Tuesday, Wednesday, AND Thursday off.
Life is good.
