Man.

My mother called today and said this millionaire guy she goes to Rotary Club with has a possibility of a job (doing what, she does not know) working at the University near where my mother lives. We don't know when we'll hear more information. She says if I say no it will be bad for her reputation. The University is not so high on the good University lists. It's not the lowest, it's in the low part of the middle of the list.

My friend in Vancouver emailed me today and said he spoke to the head of QA at his company and the QA head is very interested in me, they won't know until August if they can hire me, and if so, it would probably only be contract to start.

This is the way my life works. Lots of possibles that look promising, at opposite ends of the fucking country. Just watch, they'll all fall apart, or I'll end up settling.

Went to see Pirates of the Caribbean this afternoon with a friend. Had fun, although it wasn't nearly as good as the critics have been saying. But there were pretty boys, and some fun action.

I was a real bitch to Andrew last night.

High = gone.

And its not like you can make any decisions because you don't know anything yet. How frustrating.

As for your mom (and no offense to her) but there ARE worse things you could be doing for her reputation than NOT taking a job with a rotary club member. (snicker)

Heh. I KNOW. Hell, I've done far worse things already. As far as she's concerned, my tattoos are enough... never mind the time I was on Jerry Springer (which she doesn't know about), or other youthful escapades.
