Ok, so here's what I'm doing:
I type an entry in notepad, then sneak onto lj and upload it quickly.
I feel so dirty.
In other news, though, I'm doing good. Last week was a very successful diet week - I stayed on track and lost 2 lbs.
I'm enjoying my half hour of ellipse in the mornings - it's like old times (only I used to ellipse in the evenings), I watch part of a movie, and finish a movie a week. I'm on a science fiction kick (yeah, when am I NOT?). Last week was The Last Starfighter, and this week it's Freejack.
Working out alone first thing in the morning is nice. Andrew stays in bed, so I get a bit of alone time (even if it's sweating and watching a movie), and I finish nicely warm and with limbs all agoogly. If you know what I mean. That delirious after-work-out google.
Then he gets up and makes my lunch and breakfast while I shower and get dressed and all the rest of it. (I gots me a GOOD man)
The weekend was, overall, good.
On Saturday we went shopping. I was looking for new glasses (or more properly, the frames for new glasses), but I didn't think ahead, so I wasn't wearing my contacts. I spent a lot of time leaning in to mirrors and squinting. I have an eye doctor appointment on Thursday, so once I have the prescription in my hot and sweaty little hand, I'm going to trek back to the stores I *thought* had good glasses, and check them out again. With contacts in, thank-you-very-much.
I want something a little more striking, a little less school-marm (and definitely a hell of a lot less scratched and bent out of shape, and maybe even the right prescription). I'm thinking dark squarish frames. I saw some that I *thought* looked good, and they were even blue. *grin*
I'll be so emo. Or something.
I also got my hair cut, but I'm not super happy with it today. I think it's too clean, it's being stupid. (I've got a pear-head) I'll get back to you on it.
Then we went out for a Thai dinner (mmmmMMmMmmMMMMMMmmmMMM Thai!) with some old friends of Andrew's. And 10 of their closest friends. Most of the people were cool. One girl could have left and I'd have been the happier. But there's always one.
Afterwards we went to the chinatown night market. It was good fun. And now we know where Chinatown is - which is MUCHO important for my Dim Sum cravings. Oh yes. There will be Dim Sum.
Sunday was less fun. I was PMS'ing like a banshee (VERY like a banshee) and poor Andrew bore the brunt of it. It didn't help that I was finishing up the spray paint of the leaf stencils in the bedroom, and so many things went wrong (like all the lovely green blotches that are now on the carpet, and the green sheen on my work-out clothes, and...).
Work is... work. I'm getting into the groove, today has been a good day. I'm loving not having to take calls. This job equals ROCK compared to the last one.

The Last Starfighter
Date: 2003-09-15 09:14 pm (UTC)It’s been so long since I’ve seen that film. Right up there with Earth-Star Voyager. Actually now that I think about it, The Last Starfighter was pretty scary when I was a kid.
